What you'll ship

Outcomes & deliverables by track duration.

Every duration is outcome-driven. You learn and design working hardware, documented code, and a capstone artifact you can show a recruiter.

  • Hands-on with core toolchain (Arduino / ESP32 / Pi)
  • Build & test one working hardware prototype
  • Version-controlled code repo on GitHub
  • Live end-of-sprint demo to mentors
You leave with
  • 1 prototype design (line-follower, drone build, IoT node, or vision demo)
  • Source code + wiring / CAD files
  • 2-minute demo video
  • Certificate of completion
Apply for 45 days
Deep dive
3 months
18–22 hrs / week
Capstone
Two projects + mentored capstone
Key outcomes
  • Master fundamentals + one advanced skill (control, CV, MQTT, or gait)
  • Learn and Design two staged projects before capstone
  • Design reviews with industry mentors
  • Present capstone at demo day
You leave with
  • 2 designed projects + 1 capstone

Industry immersion
6 months
20–25 hrs / week
Capstone
Portfolio-grade capstone with client demo
Key outcomes
  • Full product-development cycle: spec → build → test → deliver
  • Work on a client / lab-sponsored problem statement
  • Own PCB, CAD, firmware, or ML pipeline end-to-end
  • Job-ready portfolio with references
You leave with

Training domains

Four disciplines. Real hardware in your hands.

Each domain runs on the same principle — you learn a stack, then ship a working capstone that proves it. Below are the outcomes you walk away with, and the kind of prototypes past interns have delivered.

Mechatronics · ROS · Motion

Robotics

Build mobile and manipulator robots from the chassis up — motors, encoders, drivers, ROS 2 stack, path planning, and closing the loop with sensors.

You leave with
  • Wire and tune a differential-drive or 6-DOF arm end-to-end
  • Publish/subscribe over ROS 2 and debug with rqt / rviz
  • Ship SLAM + navigation on a real chassis, not just simulation
Example capstones
  • Autonomous library shelver
Line-following mobile base that picks and returns books using a 4-DOF arm.
  • ROS 2 pick-and-place cell
Vision-guided arm sorting objects into bins with MoveIt planning.
UAV · Flight controller · Missions

Drones

Assemble a multirotor from frame to firmware, tune PIDs on a bench, then fly autonomous missions with GPS waypoints and onboard vision.

You leave with
  • Solder, wire and calibrate an F450-class quadcopter
  • Configure PX4 / ArduPilot and log flight telemetry
  • Program autonomous waypoint & search-pattern missions
Example capstones
  • Crop-scout drone
Autonomous survey mission over a marked plot with NDVI-lite image capture.
  • Search-and-drop rescue UAV
GPS-guided flight that identifies a marker and drops a payload on target.
Sensors · Edge · Cloud

IoT

Take real-world signals — temperature, current, motion, air quality — off a sensor, through an edge microcontroller, into the cloud, and back onto a live dashboard.

You leave with
  • Program ESP32 / STM32 boards with peripherals and interrupts
  • Wire MQTT, HTTPS and BLE pipelines end-to-end
  • Ship a hosted dashboard with alerts and historical charts
Example capstones
  • Smart energy meter
Non-invasive CT-clamp sensor streaming live power usage with peak alerts.
  • Cold-chain tracker
BLE + LTE gateway logging temperature and location for a mock vaccine shipment.
Hardware startup · Incubation

Entrepreneurship

For interns who want to turn a capstone into a company. Product-market fit exercises, BOM costing, IP basics, pitch coaching and lab access after the program ends.

You leave with
  • A validated problem, a costed BOM, and a 90-day roadmap
  • A working v1 prototype demoed to real potential customers
  • A 5-minute investor pitch and a shortlist of India-based partners
Example capstones
  • Assistive tremor spoon (MVP-1)
    Motion-cancelling utensil for early-stage Parkinson's — v1 with 3 pilot users.
  • Retail queue counter
Vision-based footfall & dwell-time device sold as a monthly subscription.

"I walked in as a BCA student who wrote code for screens. I walked out with a working autonomous drone and a job offer at a robotics startup. The lab, the mentors, the failure-fast culture — nothing else in Pune comes close."
